#1 School Accountability: Making Meaning Beyond the Spreadsheets
Amanda Reed, DAC and Tara Wooden, Instructional Supervisor, LaRue County
In this working session, participants will learn about some of the tools and approaches we use in LaRue County Schools to make meaning of the spreadsheets and other data resources the Kentucky Department of Education provides for school assessment & accountability results. Bring your own data and use this facilitated time to have a conversation with your own school and/or district data. What does the data tell us? What doesn't it tell us? What further questions should we be asking? How do we use the data to leverage praise points or potential hot spots for school improvement? Participants will be provided with tools and data display templates you can customize to meet your own needs.
#2 DAC/BAC Session with Q&A
Nick Toole, DAC Jefferson County and KDE OAA
Questions for our DACs and BACs will be answered from the perspective of KAAC Board members and KDE respectively. We will spend the time discussing topics YOU have asked to discuss. There will be time for district specific and general questions.
